July 4, 2008
It's a mere 2 minutes from being July 5, 2008 here in eastern North Dakota. The smell of black powder has thrown my sinuses into fits or protestation. It is still a wonderful smell because it serves as a reminder of what those who fought so valiantly for our independence must have smelled as the munitions of that time were employed in such fierce conflict.
This has been a day for all Americans to celebrate the independence our ancestors won for us. This is hoping yours was a happy and safe July 4th.

Here's to those of us who live in a neighborhood where the biggest displays of freedom come from the only Non-citizen family on the block. WTH???
What a show!!!

This is our first 4th of July as citizens. I just came home from work (2 00 AM).
This is for all of us, who celebrate!
Just keep on clicking the sky.... .

Yep. When I was in Scotland for a while, some of the local descriptions and names for what I was taught was called the "American Revolutionary War" were very, umn, "enlightening". And hilarious. And cost me quite a few rounds of bitters, sigh. Good times then.

So Russ, is that to imply it is better not to discuss politics in foreign countries?
