My personal definition would be the fact that they have been offline for the better part of a year with little to know communication, combined with the recent news interview with Merv, the post of events as described by someone who had "been there" and what they found out, or heard on that visit, the rumor (?) of a winding up order in process, etc. etc. etc.
If you want more specifics, you can search the Forum, and I'm sure you'll find numerous threads devoted to the various subjects.

This isn't the meaning of life.
Life will go on...with...or without DX. And if there is never another contact with the powers from Zanadu, I hope that they are well and are able to live with themselves and their interactions with the lives of so many beautiful people.
We can hold our heads up high. So many times, when an investment opportunity turns sour, the normal mode of operations is to fold, blame and sue someone...anyone...ASAP...and let the chips fall where they may. Not so, at least for the most part with the people involved with DX.
I haven't commented or contributed very much in the five years that I have been a part of this group I still call DX (my favorites listing still says "DXForDummies" and always will), I will alway have a hope (though not necessarily faith) that someday we will be justified in our belief that good will eventually conquer over evil.
It is a pleasure to be a part of such a "'First Class Act"
Thanks to all.

Off to see the Wizard....
From what I'm reading, the grand DX plan appears to be dead, and many of you are branching out into other areas. My burning question is:
Is DX alive or dead ?
I think everyone here has a right to know from the creator. If it's dead, let's have a mourning period and then move on. It looks to me that there are plenty of good, strong ideas out there. If the creator wants to keep DX alive, then he needs to rebuild his image and his team from the ground up. This is not an age where everything's hunky-dory, and we can follow the yellow brick road to ruin.

We have heard from the creator via the Vanuatu news article. He specifically stated that there is NO need for a website to up and running at this time. He is currently working on another project. He "intends" to pay people back, but there is no definitive time period on this and he was specifically referring to the Blue Chip portfolio holders.
Since there is no need for a website at this time, there is no need to access your funds. That is the inference I am drawing, since the only way to access your funds was through the website.
So, for me, at this time, DXS is definitely comatose, if not dead.

And with all that in mind, what does that make Merv?
