Maybe he "The Glimmer Man" will shed some light on the subject when least

I don't dispute your statement, Guru, but approaching it from Merv's angle... if he doesn't need a web site then how does he expect DXAuctions to auction, DXShopping to sell or DXConnect to connect? And what about adXposed or, dare I say it, plain old fashioned customer service?
And if he is serious, which I believe he is not, what terrestrial company with real physical premises, real physical stock, real physical staff and, oh yes, real physical customers, does not need a web site?
Pre 1990's they didn't of course, but today they do whether their business is primarily internet based or not.

Allan you know better then that! You're turning things upside down except for the 'not-working-ness'.
The reason fo that is the features not being in place (yet) and that again is the reason for not having the website in the air. About needing us; without us he's nothing. The only thing DXS is now, is this forum. Without this forum DXS isn't mentioned anywhere in the world. For me, if one isn't mentioned anymore he's realy dead, dead as dead can be.
Regards,
Ben

Forgive me Ben, but that's absolute bull****!
That is the lamest excuse for not having the website up. What makes it even more disgusting is Merv KNOWS that his membership want information and the website is the best place to give it to them, yet does nothing.
If he gave any kind of damn about his membership he would go out of his way to make sure they get information when they need it.

I guess Merv is lucky we still give a damn then huh? I wonder how Merv would feel if we turned the other way and publically posted out disgust at him and his company on the front page?

I mentioned this in a couple forums over a year ago about the possibility that this is some method DX is using to lower the number of people still connected to the PF/DXaccount side of things. The worse the Customer Service and such the more people will simply walk away. That is alot of people not going to be wanting to take anything out of the system. If you know your reputation is already shot, and you cant/wont simply shut down and walk away, then the next best thing is to lower the number of people "owed" money. It wouldnt surprise me in the least that IF they did come back online that at some point there will be something like "All current accounts must be logged into within the 30 day period to remain active"... I dont think they have tried that one yet. They have come close with the 30 days to claim DXgains or you lose them.
Its just a thought

No, the official stance of this forum towards DXS/GDT is exactly the same as any other program. Neutral. We do not endorse nor (what ever the opposite of endorse is). We do point out facts and there is a lot more room for comment on BOTH sides of the "fence" on this and any other program listed or discussed in here.
For people that were used to and comfortable in the old DX4Dummies and DX4All environments (as I was), this means some serious adjustments in posting style, some of which are a bit difficult.

The "official stance" of this forum may well be neutral, but there has been plenty of "public disgust" posted by leadership...
I guess my point to Sam is don't say you're not doing it when you are!

As Russ said, we discuss both sides here, and whether you like it or not, the admin here are members of DXS just the same as you are and have opinions and thoughts just like any other member. Part of being neutral is the willingness to discuss openly both sides of the story. Right now there isn't really another side to the DXS story. Once Merv makes his next move there will, or at least may be, but until then, all we have to go by is what we see... nothing.
I'm pretty sure someone is running off to Merv and updating him on all the nasty comments being said on the forum here. He may even be reading it himself, although I find that very unlikely. You'd think that Merv would pay a little attention to what people are saying.
That said... point taken. Now, may I offer some advice back? If you don't like it here, you don't have to be here.
