Thanks to all who voted and to those who added their comments also. It has been interesting to see some of the reactions ... especially those that thought 'giving up hope' was a bad thing.

The way I see it is this - I personally gave up 'hope' at the end of January because of a phone call I had with Merv back in September/October last year. In this phone call (amongst a number of things that we discussed) Merv assured me that the system would be up and running with a great deal more merchant activity within 3 months. Gee, look where we are at the moment!

Now just because I have given up hope, doesn't mean that I am turning my back on DX. All it means is that I don't expect DX to be successful anymore and I don't expect to ever recoup any of the funds that have been stuck in there for many, many months. But I still keep an eye out for them and I still wish they would prove me wrong and I will be one of the first people to come out here and publicly appologize for some of the things I have said. I'm just not holding my breath waiting for that day to happen.

Guru, this is exactly the same way I feel. It's also the same way I feel about Solid Investment. Some of these things "seem" real for so long and then BAMMM we're left sitting at the end of a long thin branch with no word from the admins.

I'm not going to jump off a bridge because of DX but, I'll certainly let them rescue me.

Just to let you know I read these and have similar opinions.

These posted messages express what I gues most of us feel: Abused and at sea. I can always have hope, but then that's not the same meaning as "faith", is it? I really do not have much faith in DXS or any part of them as represented thus far. But, I can always have hope that someday...someone...with produce a something that makes sense.

Hi all! I've been gone for awhile due to health move retirement etc. I am one of those who also came in in more simple times (2002). I did the business for two years going through the myriad of changes and lost interest due to the above and time. When I returned it was a nightmare. I read got help from several people etc. But could not get back in to it. It used to be fun. I continued reading posts about this wasn't up or that wasn't working...so I stayed on the sidelines trying to see where this was leading. My accounts are still there although I don't know how to get to them ( I forgot again ). So my question is Where are we at? Is this a thing of the past...are reparations taking place...are we going to court..or what? Just a question from someone on the sidelines watching diligently. Thanks for all of your posts. I'm still learning.

Hi margnbuz, glad you came back. Where we are is DX has been and still is off line for at least the last couple months. Over the past year DX has been off line at least as much as on line. The person supposedly steering the DX ship says they don't need to be on line and in the meantime there are at least rumours of people filing "winding up" suit against DX/GDT.

In my opinion (take that for what it is worth) this is (or is rapidly becoming) a thing of the past. I am not aware of any reparations attempts. Also in my opinion I'm pretty sure some one(s) have lawsuits filed or in preparation for filing.

I gave up a while ago. I think the real question is - if they come back online, how much could we trust the system? It has let us down so many times.

I'm fortunate that, by following the advice of a cool sage on this forum, I did not invest more than I was willing to roll up and burn like a cigar (did I quote that correctly?). For me, that was the equivalent of a week's worth of groceries.

I do totally sympathise with those who have lost a lot more, and share your hope for at least some form of redress.
