From what I can see now... I don't trust them and thus, in that sense, I have very close to have 'given up'... but...
On the other hand I can't say I've 'given up' completely, as they still have my money and there is still some (albeit minimal) contact... so my own 'due diligence' says I need to 'keep in touch' of what's happening.
However... My 'hope' is at best very limited. But, if they do come back... and if they do show a functioning system... and if I can begin to be able to purchase real products and services and am able OX my funds should I so choose... then and ONLY then will I be glad I hung around to see that happen. How long is it worth 'hanging around'.. not sure... so long as they are 'there', then some hope exists... however, with each passing week, it drops.... it's so near the floor now... not sure when 'bottom' is...
And what would that option be Sam. I could modify the Poll so others could use it also.
In the business world, hope will get you shot in the foot. I think they might be back online, but i don't expect them to stay online. I would love to be proven wrong on this of course. I think they've done so much damage to their reputation that no matter what they do, they wont get to where they want to be.
I voted as having given up hope, yet I don't mean that with any bitterness or even regrets. It's been said that within five years 90% of all startup companies will fail. I consider DX to have been just another experiment that had an outcome other than what I would have prefered. It happens; we can't pick winners every time. Granted, I only have a few hundred USD tied up in this so the amount of pain I need to endure is probably quite a bit lower than some others'. I understand some other folks willingness to keep hope alive.
I believe that DX is not viable, I believe that it (or at least my money) is gone. And by "gone" I mean that it will not produce an income or anything marketable even if the web site comes back online.
If I am proven wrong ( and there have been a legion of times when I was) and a Pheonix does arise than I will be happy for those who have held out hope and take my money and wish everyone well.
As of this post 61.29% have not or will not give up.
Only 38.71% are quitters.
Charles
yep i voted too so that makes 5 of us
Just because there was not an option that suited my personal stand doesn't mean I don't have an opinion nor that I can't voice it. I didn't vote because it isn't a clear cut yes or no situation for me. But the topic is one that I'd like to have a voice on.
That's why I posted.
I don't consider myself to be either a cheerleader OR a quitter. Perhaps there should be another percentage figured into your calculations, because just adding up those that have given up and those that haven't CLEARLY isn't 100% of the population here.

Seems to me there is a difference between quitting and giving up. I quit smoking a long time ago and am very pleased about that decision. I haven't quit DXS, (kinda hard with OXs as they are) but I've given up on expecting to see my OXs in my ecurrency accounts tomorrow.
So who has given up on who?

Yes, this whole quit Vs giving up thing appears to have caused a lot of confusion.
I believe DXS have given up on their current members. I no longer trust them, and doubt anything will change that. My choice to distance myself is not simply "quitting" but a very careful "i'm sick and tired of being screwed by these guys, so am no longer giving them any time to gain my trust".
I have not voted yet either. Logic told me back in 2006 that it was time to walk away but hope prevailed. I incorporated my DXGlobal Company (mostly for the sake of keeping the merchant console) which, as most of you would know, did not return its cost. I didn't renew. I have a fair chunk of dollars sitting in my DX account, but more so, I have hundreds and hundreds of hours invested in the program. The early years were fun years and that I miss. I have not posted here recently as I have not had anything beneficial to contribute but I do appreciate that others have. I am however interested in what the latest is, so check in regularly. As for DXS, I hope it comes back but am not counting on it. I will keep watch and who knows.........one could be pleasantly surprised....or not.
