That's right. I had been paid by a friend for a job in an ecurrency that I couldn't use at the time. They suggested I look at the DXGold site where I could exchange my ecurrency for another one I could use.

I looked it over, thought 'this all seems logical and straightforward' and did my exchange. While I was waiting the couple of hours for the whole process to take - yes ... 2-3 hours to put money in and get money back out again - I thought I'd look over the rest of the site. I discovered the merchant facility and instantly thought 'crap, if I'd known this 20minutes ago I would not have InXchanged, I would have processed an OutXchange and earnt a bonus that would more than cover my OutXchange'. (I should point out here that way back then, merchant consoles were freely available to anyone who wanted one.)

Then I looked at the digot side of things and again thought 'this seems logical. Stash my spare funds in digots, the system will use those funds somehow and in return I will share in whatever gains they made. Simple.'

You know, back then the system was actually fairly easy and a lot less complicated than it was turned into. But then even the 'complications' wern't that difficult for me to follow. I gues I am just blessed to be such a logical thinker.

I was told that the system was much simpler in the beginning. I did not have this luxury. One can hope.

I joined DXGold in June of 2005 (exactly 3 years ago this month), but I came here for about 6 weeks beforehand to learn what I could about it.

Yes, it was simpler back then, but still much more complicated than any other program I had ever seen. But, with the help of all my friends here at this board, I was able to learn what I needed to know to function within the system. That is, after reading this board continuously for almost all that time until it finally sunk in.

I was, of course, completely ignorant of even the workings of ecurrency and payment processors at the time, and so it was all completely new to me. And, I'm also aware that I was in an unique position of being able to devote the time and effort required to learn everything I needed to know just by reading the posts here. I'm also sure, though, that even with one of the courses, it would have taken quite a bit of time to grasp what was going on because it's was such a different type of program that was being offered even then. And I still haven't run across anything that compares to it.

In my opinion, this board and the admins and moderators here have been the 'backbone' in the education of people in DXS. They've rolled with every one of the 'punches' and kept abreast of every change of direction, and kept us informed of it all along the way.

Kudos to all the Admins and Mods!

Some one pointed this out to me in another Forum. One does not have to go the Vanuatu to file a claim. You just need some one to represent you there. That would cut down on the cost to take them to court.

I would want to be there so that option did not come into play with me.
