Seems these new 'bits of info' do tend to make the "GDT is real"... and even the feasibility of the DXS plan a bit more credible. There are still lots of questions, but I do see these ideas (the article and the coming of 'fiber' to Vanuatu) as good signs.
Ok, so perhaps 'holding ones breath' is still an option... All this could still work... :-)
Oh, and there is a link in that article for people to post comments.

Hmmm....
I would think that the paper is looking for comments on their article and not comments about GDT. The article is a good one for the people in Vanuatu. The people of Vanuatu have done a lot of work to see that this plan comes to life.
With only 300,000 people on the Island's they know each other very well. They are working towards a common goal of lifting their nation out of military rule into an active Democracy. Do you think they want to post things that will cause harm to that goal?
We used to have a country that had a common goal but now it is everyone for them self. Is that a good thing? You be the judge. Funny how we think we need to inform the nations news paper about one of their own companies.

Sorry Charles but I'm not going to get sucked into political discussion or commentary in these forums. But I will say I expect news organizations to report the news not just what they want the news to be.

Hi GL,
I did not intend a political discussion, sorry if it came off that way. I guess the problem with news reporting is that it is slanted by the reporters view point.
Two people can see and hear the same thing but come away with very different view points. I still think the paper will only post comments about their article and not post complaints on GDT. There may be a editorial area in the site? I did not look to see if there was or not.
Vanuatu is a very different place. They do not look for the negative there. It is hard to explain if you have not been there. This is just the first article on GDT. I am sure more will come. I would not look for any negative information in the near future.
Hello all,
I just read the article and noticed that there was no author cited. Quickly glancing through the rest of the paper I saw that almost all the other articles had authors. Being of a questioning mind ( perhaps cynical) the thought arises that maybe this is a press release from GDT. Just a thought.

I guess you are right. It must be a very different place. If GDT were a US company that had not allowed access to / stolen the kind of funds that have been discussed, the US media would be all over it. Not to mention the authorities. One only has to think back to the 12 Daily Pro fiasco. All over the news AND taken care of by the authorities.
It's one thing to not want to talk negatively about a company based in your country, but quite another to withhold the truth if you know it. Any reputable media outlet would have let their readers know about the troubles GDT has had. They must know the truth about these people (person) by now. Of course, the other thing that could be at play here is that it's the weekend. Perhaps those in charge of approving the posts that have been made don't work on weekends. I don't think that paper's operation is a 24/7 operation.
As for the SPIN referenced above, this is NOT a GDT initiative and I doubt very strongly that they will have anything to do with it. There will likely be many reputable concerns that provide service to people through the SPIN. A guy running an operation out of a shed in some guy's backyard that has pilfered millions of dollars from people around the world isn't what I'd call a reputable concern. Anyone who thinks this is somehow great news for GDT is having a pipe dream.
Doing a tracecert on DXS, it ends at the satellite uplink in Australia again. No connection further on to Vanuatu. Wonder if the wood shed (server house) got wet again?

oh good.. why don't you all post a bunch of your negative sentiments... that will help a lot!
