Hello rdmatheny,
Most users of the DXSystem are not from the US. The US is way behind other countries that have users in the system.

I have heard this before. What I have always wondered about was the complexity to be an active member in DXS. Are there other forums out there that help members? Are there other guides out there in non-English languages to help others?
Or are we simply so incredibly stupid here in the US that we need something like the old DX4All to figure things out and all those non-US members simply understand all this stuff as simplicity itself?
This question has always bugged me. I have heard of French, Dutch and Chinese forums, but never located them.

I've also heard this, but it really doesn't hold up with the Alexa traffic details, which although doesn't count everyone obviously, its a very good indication of who uses what and how many and before anyone says Alexa is a US site, it is worldwide, the peope in China, Phillipines and India are very internet savvy and use Alexa a lot.]
dxsynergy.com - Traffic Details from Alexa
Dxsynergy.com users come from these countries:
United States40.9%
United Kingdom39.8%
Canada5.7%
Costa Rica3.4%
Belgium2.3%
Greece1.1%
New Zealand1.1%
China1.1%
Germany1.1%
Philippines1.1%
Portugal1.1%
Ukraine1.1%

Oh my. Yet I have been told specifically the same information that Charles posted by (I suspect) the exact same person. It just never made sense to me.

Yeah but remember, alexa only bases it's stats off users who have the alexa toolbar installed. If for example the toolbar is not widely uses in, China for example, the data wont be entirely accurate.

No, they won't be, but don't forget, we are not talking about small amounts of people. There are supposed to be members in other countries that dwarf the US by a long way, (members in China was actually mentioned to me) and from my dealings with Chinese people that we host, they know a lot about marketing and use Alexa etc all the time. If there were that many Chinese people using DX it would show in the Alexa Rankings. Their search engine Baidu.com ranks #19 in the world rankings, and 85% of those users are in China, so I would say they use it.

I thought that alexa did not track info on secure sites? Am I wrong about that?

I was under the impression that Alexa tracks my browsing patterns by site IF I have the alexa toolbar installed.
So, if I went to log into DXS and check my acount, that would count for "1" hit or link or whatever thay call it for the DXS URL. Don't think it matters if it is prefaced by 'http:// or https://. It's still a DXS URL.
Been a year and a half at least since I checked it out, so I may have it a bit wrong or it may have been changed since then.
