Very wise man indeed.
But although what we expect and what we get may not be the same, what is offered and what is accepted are often very different as well.
What I personally think now - after several years of dealing with DX in its many guises
- after bending over backwards to assist in operating in ways that many thought were correct due to cryptic implications being made through support messages
- after discovering later that what was implied was not what was ment (and often to the financial detriment of our accounts)
- after being personally told several things that have since shown to be incorrect, inaccurate, or a flat out lie
... it is time that DX members stand up for what we originally believed was to happen and to stand sure on what we truely know we are owed by the system (and I am NOT encompasing all funds in this statement because we all know for a fact whether or not we personally took specific actions that produced a financial gain that should NOT have happened) and accept NOTHING LESS.
We need to show DX that in order to retain the benefits of our membership and our support (something that we all, including DX, know IS needed) we need to be provided with a system that is fair to ALL (not just potential new members), a system that works to completion, and a system that has clearly defined expectations of operation.
And unless we are all able to stand together on these things, DX will continue to operate in the fashion that is has done up till now ... and we all know only too well where that has lead to.

OK, Linda, we need the support message Global ID number, your message to support and their permission to post it or I will have to lock and remove this thread. Sorry, simply the rules around here. Hope you understand.

Well, I suppose I have to fess up since everyone else is, but apparently in doing so, I have to admit that I'm actually worse than guilty of forgetting.
I did notice, and due to the lack of notice from DXS of possible downtime, lack of notice of things starting back up again, lack of any global explanation of what was happening while it was happening, which I interpret, to be a total and complete lack of respect to all members, and lack of anything even remotely close to customer service as a whole, I chose to overlook it (I mean, heck, if they're not going to play nice - - - )
Oh well, My bad (she says with head down, while shuffling off to a corner to sit in the time out chair).

One more here for both "I missed it" and "I don't know how to play bridge!"
So, we'll go sit in the corner with some cards and... um... stare at each other?

Stare at each other - heck! At least 3 in a corner is enough to start a revolution - I say we start forming a plot - - - snick, snick, snick!
