The Question: Withdraw T1 so that you can repay DXDW?
This question came up in DXPlatinum... and I promised to ask DXSupport

A question has arisen about whether it would be wise to move our T1 out of our portfolios ourselves rather than waiting for DXS to do it. The idea behind that is that if we move the T1 then we create DXDW which we then have 30 days to repay -- giving a little more time to repurchase digots that have gained.
I'm inclined to think that it makes more sense to leave the funds in the portfolio until you move them out for me -- capturing the gains as they're earned.
Also, what will happen to portfolios that have negative PF? Will they go to zero? or will they be negative?
Thanks! Have a great day!

Hello Janet,
Both are options to work with. If there is an intention to repay the Withdrawn DXDebit then the option is there.
The negative will be cleared in the portfolio if there is no major issue other than the double deduction from the Reserve Balance.
We hope we have been of assistance, if you have any further questions or queries please don't hesitate to reply.
With Regards,
The DXSupport Team

So... if you want to hold onto your TDV by repaying the T1 that will be removed, you could withdraw it from your portfolio, and then you'd have 30 days to repay the DXDW that it creates...
DXS has already said that when they remove the funds it will not create a debit...
Also... it appears that negative PF will simply be zeroed out in most cases.

Will we get any notice of this happening? Or do you think that DX will just pick a day and just do it?

My expectation is that they will announce that it's going to happen....
BUT... I do not know that for a fact...
So... if there's something you need to do to get ready for it, I'd suggest that you not wait... The recommendation to not put the T1 back into the portfolio is an indication that we're looking at days rather than weeks...

Question:
If you have outside funds to bring in to repay DXDW, why not bring it in now & buy digots? Those funds will be production funds, and will earn gains that are also production funds. Meanwhile, the T1 in your portfolio will continue to accumulate gains until DX moves it to AB. This way, you can earn more on your portfolio prior to the move.
Or am I missing something?

Yes.. that would make sense... but some people may want to wait to do it... in which case, withdrawing the T1 would allow them 30 days...

Ah, very true. I'm just thinking that, since we don't know when the move'll happen, buying digots now could maximize profits.

Unless I'm seriously missing something here (as if that could never happen) the only way there would be a double deduction from the Reserve Balance is if they were removing PFT3 funds which I was under the impression had already been cleared.

But that could have left people with negative PF... that has NOT been cleared...
