Do I Need Treatment?

I guess it is obvious to anyone that read my last blog entry that we must have IP sevice again. The cable guy showed up around 9:00 this morning, connected a modem and immediately there was activity. His conclusion (and mine): the old modem is toast. Never mind that some of the lights flash and the like, it simply ain't connecting to the IP. Seems that whether it is broken or not it's simply too old for further software updates from the IP. Since it was purchased refurbished from an eBay store and was less than $30 w/shipping and provided over 2 years of dependable service I see no reason for complaint.
A quick ride on the Goldwing to 'Wallow World', a couple minutes to pay for a new modem and a quick ride back home. Then about 5 minutes of disconnecting old modem and connecting new, a little update information for the cable co. and voilą - only 60 plus new posts to get through and things are kind of back to normal.
Janice told me it felt completely foreign to not be able to check her emails and do some surveys before heading off to work this morning. I likewise was lost. I get the feeling we're a couple of internet addicts. Please don't anyone tell me there's a 12 step program for that.
