I believe that we should be presenting BOTH sides whenever possible. The problem is that the facts so far seem to lean towards the negative. I would love for that to be proven wrong, and I agree, the bickering & sniping should stop. And while I believe this poll was well-intentioned, I also believe that it is far too limiting. We should not be cheerleaders OR naysayers, but a source of information, plain and simple. Our members are smart enough to draw their own conclusions based on the facts.
I understand, however, that it's hard to NOT be emotional, frustrated & angry when your money seems to be gone, or when you believe that you have good, factual input that's being ignored & drowned out in a sea of criticism.
I don't know how to overcome that, so long as we are all human.

I agree that negative posts with a factual (preferably specific) issue have an important place on a forum that discusses a particular business.
The "DX sucks" or generic "I hate DX" posts aren't worth the bandwidth. If you just feel bad, seek the council of you mother, therapist or clergy person.
I'm not a fan of cheerleaderism either. If a positive OR a negative post does not have a specific issue or situation tied to it, deletion/suppression is the way to go.
On the other hand, if you want a folder like FGABIT (Douglas) had after his "meeting" with GDT, that is a different matter. Actually, perhaps that would be a better situation. A folder or thread where you could post what GDT tells you and we would simply remove any commentary from others. Any commentary from others would only be allowed OUTSIDE the thread/folder.
What say you?

I vote for no cheerleading. I also vote for no more of the anger and bitterness that has been directed towards members, mods, and admins. We are all frustrated, but not one of us can do anything to ease the pain and suffering of fellow DXS members - unless you are part of DXS.
4AllAccounts seems to have a global and therefore very diverse membership. Discussions that go beyond facts can be very difficult to understand in a language that is not your primary language. Even for those who do speak the same language, there is lots of opportunity for the heated debates that characterize several of the threads on here of late.
So, please, no cheerleading, but also stop the anger and bitterness.

OK, you know how to reach me. Deal is only you post in it that folder. No one else. I am also aware that you fully understand that I understand the ONLY stuff going in there is going to be updates from GDT and the like. Mods and above will have access to the folder simply because that's the way the forum "permissions" are set up. However, they will NOT be doing anything in there except reading like the rest of us or removing any posts that get by the permission settings.

The thing I don't understand about all of this is why can't GDT have a site set up to provide information, assuming there is actually information to be provided? They could do it for the cost of a domain name and a $3.95 a month hosting account.
Why do they insist on only going through one or two people? What viable business operates in this fashion?
They are so "busy" getting the site up, they don't have time to provide and update once in a while? That's ridiculous.
One way communications via a hand picked client / member is better than nothing, but one really has to wonder why they bother. Absolutely nothing they have said in the past several months via one of their chosen communications representatives has come to fruition.

All we are doing at 4AllAccounts is offering a vehicle that gets good exposure for a very minimal time investment. That's all. I do not know what else there is that we can do here. So, since Charles said he would verify with GDT and DXS if this offer is agreeable to them, the only thing we can do is wait on an answer, however long that may take.
