No probs all ... I'm glad that you've been able to find the 'exclusion options' to help keep the new posts to what is relevant.
It's interesting to see some of the news come through though. Means you can read about other here ... and earn vbBux for it

Click on User CP in the Blue Tool Bar
Click on Options
Go to the bottom of the page... there's a dropdown box with all the forums listed. Choose the forums that you want to deselect... if you want to select multiples, use the control key
(Note: I thought I could de-select a whole forum area at a time -- as in all the sports -- but I found that I need to select each Forum Topic....

I excluded the news sports stuff this afternoon. When I came back this evening and logged in again, the sports stuff was again back in my "new posts".
I went to my User CP and the options are still highlighted but it didn't exclude them when I first hit new posts. It excluded them the second time, after I had been back to User CP but didn't change anything.
Do we have to go to our User CP every time we log in?

No... mine works just fine.. you do need to click on the save button (or whatever that button is) at the bottom of the page to save your settings though...

Shouldn't have to do it each time ... I'll look into it more but mine seems to work ok. I have all but a couple of the sports folders excluded.

I love the fact that we can exclude them all as a "default", however, if we have a slow day and want to peruse what's out there, we can always go to the "Forums" tab, scroll down, and see if there's anything interesting.
Great option! Love it!
Thanks, Guru for another awesome function!!

I was under the impression that when you exclude these threads/forums from your User CP, they are only excluded from "new posts" and not from "active topics" -- Am I wrong --GURU?
