July 4, 2008
It's a mere 2 minutes from being July 5, 2008 here in eastern North Dakota. The smell of black powder has thrown my sinuses into fits or protestation. It is still a wonderful smell because it serves as a reminder of what those who fought so valiantly for our independence must have smelled as the munitions of that time were employed in such fierce conflict.
This has been a day for all Americans to celebrate the independence our ancestors won for us. This is hoping yours was a happy and safe July 4th.
