Well, it's been about 7 months since I've done anything in DX land or even logged into my profile (which I will check on soon after this post). I've just spent a couple of hours in this part of the forum reading the sticky threads and my head is spinning nicely!

I was one of those who pretty much gave up on it back in April when things had essentially ground to a halt back then, and I was wondering if it would ever pick up again. Even the daily DX EOS email stopped - and only started up again a month or so into the current version. That has also been getting my interest that maybe something *was* happening again.

I came back for a look because of the 120 day deadline email from here and partly because of the "autopilot" feature for the portfolio mentioned in that email. There's definitely a new learning curve for the current system - seems like it's pretty much like learning it all over again. But it sounds like it should be worth my while to do that so I'll be one of those who makes the effort and sees how it turns out.

I must also say, thanks for the informative forum and the effort all the mods/admins/etc put into it. This will greatly help with the learning curve (again).

Well, it's time for a break I think, and then some more learning in the next couple of days so I can work out a good plan to continue with.

bb from Oz.

Welcome back bburwood.

The good news is that the system will become far less complex as the old portfolio issues work through and become non-factors in the future. It's the stuff from the old system that's causing confusion and frustration now. I sometimes wish I were a newby so it wouldn't matter to me but also glad to be here with an understanding of what's going on so others can be helped.

Glad you are back and if you get stuck on something feel free to ask.

hmm, after poking around in my account for a while and eventually looking at the credit report, I *think* it seems like a reasonable position. (especially since I haven't touched it in 7 months!) I guess I might have a better idea once I have moved T3 funds to T2, shuffled things around a bit and bought more digots with that (and possibly the available cash in my AB), and then waited for an EOS. I'll probably have an even better idea of where I sit after the 120 day deadline passes too ...

Anyway, enough thinking for now, time for something a little less mind taxing. I guess I'll probably get used to it in time ... but it'll take a few days ... or weeks ... or ...

Thanks for the welcome back, Garage Logician. Yup, the differences between the 2 versions is definitely the main mind bender, but as you say those will resolve themselves soon (I'm guessing the 120 day deadline will see a few questions answered) and things will get easier. I'll also be doing a bit of forum browsing to find out more - I'm guessing most questions that I'll come up with have probably been asked in the last couple of months, so I should be able to find some answers to those eventually. (and of course if I don't then I'll drop a question in somewhere)

Yes.. you should be able to find it all eventually. If not, we are more than happy to give you a 'push' (gentle of course) in the right direction if you need help.

Welcome back ....

(I'm going to move this to a thread of your very own!)

Also, just a heads up as I'm sure you'll find this in your reading - - - you don't have to wait for the 120 days to "see what happens". Sometimes its to your benefit to begin paying down that debt, and dropping the rest.

Remember the more you are able to buy down, the more TDV you will have, and the more of those Pending gains you'll recover. And the digots you'll be buying will be "no-Premium digots" so to speak - - - so its a win-win situation - - - something to ponder.

Again, if you have any questions, we're here to help!

Welcome back!

Well, 3.5 hours to go in session 119, so much for giving myself "plenty" of time before EOS of session 120! At least I'm assuming that it's EOS of session 120 rather than EOS of session 119. Yup, just checked my account and there's a Repayment Due Date of Dec 20 11am for 3897.11 DXG scheduled. (My time zone is UTC+10, plus 1 for daylight savings.) I should at least get to see what happens after an EOS before the big DXDebit Withdrawn drop.

Here's my account summary and what I am planning on doing ... sorry about the potentially dodgy formatting.
Number Of DXAccounts: 1
Total Available: 412.12 DXG
Total Incoming: 0.00 DXG
Total Pending: 0.00 DXG
Total Balance: 412.12 DXG
DXAccount Production Funds: 0.07 DXG

Portfolio Summary:
Number Of DXPortfolios: 1
Total Digot Value: 5,574.47 DXG (104 Digot Symbols. 20,164 Digots)
Total Reserve Balance: 577.58 DXG
DXDebit Allocated: 5,198.59 DXG
Total DXDebit Withdrawn: 3,897.11 DXG
Total DXDebit Available: 1,301.48 DXG
DXDebit Withdrawn Percentage: 69.91%

DXPortfolio Production Funds: 0.00 DXG
DXPortfolio Production Funds (on T3): 110.82 DXG

Digot Buy Value: 5,084.2750 DXG
EOS Credits Allocated: 103.3993 DXG
EOS Credits Pending: 79.2587 DXG
EOS Credits Available: 24.1407 DXG
SUB TOTAL (TOTAL RETURN): 5,677.8737 DXG
DXPORTFOLIO TOTAL PROFIT: 593.5987 DXG
DXPORTFOLIO PROFIT PERCENTAGE: 11.6752%

PENDING EARNINGS:
Total Pending EOS Price Increase: 375.886195 DXG
Total Pending EOS Credits: 79.258665 DXG

CURRENT DXDEBIT VALUES:
Total Digot Value Pending: 4,272.9936 DXG
(Minus) Total Pending EOS Price Increase: 375.8862 DXG
Current DXDebit Withdrawn: 3,897.1074 DXG
WITHDRAWALS AVAILABLE FOR REPAYMENT: Wed Dec 20th 2006 11:00 AM 3,897.11 DXG

Time Release Info
-----------------

. : Current Time-Release Balances : .
Production Funds: 0.07 DXG
Time Release Type 1: 0.00 DXG
Time Release Type 2: 9.66 DXG
Time Release Type 3: 402.39 DXG

. : Current Time-Release Balances (Pending) : .
Pending Time Release Type 1: 0.00 DXG
Pending Time Release Type 2: 0.00 DXG
Pending Time Release Type 3: 0.00 DXG

. : Current Time-Release Balances In DXPortfolios : .
Production Funds: 0.00 DXG
Production Funds (on Type 3): 110.82 DXG
Production Funds (on Type 3 Actual): 498.65 DXG
Time Release Type 1: 0.00 DXG
Time Release Type 2: 19.91 DXG
Time Release Type 3: 1,748.33 DXG

The Plan (or at least something like it):

1. Convert type 3 (which I seem to have a fair amount of) to type 2 time release. Transfer all Available Balance funds from time release categories 1 (zero anyway) and 2 to Reserve Balance.

2. Collect EOS Credits. Buy digots with everything in Reserve. I'm thinking that buying a spread of whatever I already have is probably the best. Or perhaps buy an even spread of my top 30 - 50 performing digots maybe.

Since I don't have any extra eCurrency funds to bring in at present (and of course now no time to get any extra before EOS 120) then I can't take advantage of the benefits of "premium free" digots which would have potentially been fairly nice if I had stopped procrastinating earlier. (As they say ... "nothing happens if nothing happens!") I really must work on procrastinating less! (not just online either)

3. I'm thinking I should manually drop my DXDWithdrawn, and pick the digots myself, which of course will take a bit more effort than the autopick option. From what I've read I should choose to drop the lower performing digots, but make sure I leave at least 1 of each so I still have the option of buying them in the future, until my TDV suports more digot symbols. Does that sound sensible to those who are used to the current system?

Well, that's a longish post ... anything I missed? (I wouldn't be surprised!)

bb from Oz.

I'm hoping at least one other person will look over your plan and my post just in case I've missed something too.

Before all else I gotta say your attitude is really appreciated. We've been going a little crazy trying to keep up with everyone so it's good you understand there will be no miracles from us (or anyone else probably).

Except for an occasional term that may be incorrect your overall plan should work just fine. Keep in mind the T3 Funds in your portfolio will need to be withdrawn to account in order to convert them. Then you will need to move them to RB and buy digots with them also.

For the moment I would leave your Portfolio PFT3 funds right where they are and just let each EOS draw you closer PFT3 and PFT3A being equal. That will happen faster after you withdraw the T3, convert and buy digots with them.

You are definitely on the right track and moving in the right direction.
